Having been to Rennsport, Daytona, Sebring, etc. I can say with some certainty that Luftgekuhlt 3 was the most impressive Porsche gathering that I have had the opportunity to be a part of. In the Porsche world, Luftgekuhlt is the term representing the air cooled cars built between the late 1940’s and 1998. Taking place at the expansive Moderinca compound south of DTLA, there were over 450 cars including Jerry Seinfeld’s 904 Carrera GTS, a 356 Carrera GTL Abarth, Bruce Canepa’s 959 and Jeff Zwart’s 1948 Gmund coupe. Big thanks to Howie Idelson and Patrick Long for throwing such a great event for the Porsche community.
